Wedding Day Bliss and Honeymoon Happiness

Reading my last post I'm surprised that some people didn't ask "do you really want to get married..?"

But with all the drama and hype of preparing our wedding, one forgets what marriage really means. People are so caught up with the bride, the groom, the dress, the church, the flowers, the cake... that they forget really why they are here.

For some people it was a chance to get blind rotten drunk... For some it was a chance to catch up with friends. For others (the idiot in-laws) it was a chance to say every negative thing under the sun and then leave half way through, but for the few who really understands the true meaning of marriage, it was to celebrate to coming together of two lives before God for ever and ever..

While on our honeymoon, I asked my husband what he thought of the concept of marriage was and when we sat and really talked about it, it was interesting to see his mind expand to really take in all that there is involving him, his responsibility and his duties as a husband.

Steve is not a religious man and as a Member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints I was thrilled at i could engage his mind into thinking about the bible and the Lord by simply talking about something that was of interest to both of us. What blew him away was that his responsibilities as a husband were written in ink and these were the very principles HE wanted to live by.. not because I wanted him to, certainly not because the Bible said he needed too but because he knew that these things seemed right to him...

Just found a way for Steve to "Choose the right"..

PS The wedding went wonderfully and my little bit of stress really did pay off because everyone (except the in-laws) mentioned how wonderfull everything looked and tasted.
